AI automation
In short
AI automation replaces repetitive manual work — re-keying data, sorting requests, reading documents, chasing updates — with software that does it reliably. Omer Khan and the Afiniti Global team build automation systems for businesses in the UK and worldwide, using plain code where the steps are fixed and language models only where inputs are messy, with clean hand-offs for the cases that need a person.
Operations-heavy teams whose people spend their days copying data between systems, reading documents, or handling the same requests again and again.
- A map of the real workflow, including the exceptions nobody wrote down.
- Automation of the repetitive path, integrated with the systems that already hold the data.
- Model-powered steps for unstructured inputs such as emails, documents, and images.
- Validation between steps and a clear queue for the cases that need a human.
- Monitoring, so failures are loud rather than silent.
- 1
Map how the work is actually done today, and measure where the time goes.
- 2
Automate the highest-volume, lowest-risk path first.
- 3
Roll out step by step so the team can trust each stage before the next.
- 4
Extend to the harder cases once the first path is stable.

AI automation: common questions
- When does a workflow need AI?
- Use conventional automation when the rules are clear. AI can help with inputs such as documents or free-form text, but its output needs validation and a way to hand uncertain cases to a person.
- Which processes are worth automating first?
- High-volume, rule-based work where errors are costly and the inputs are reasonably consistent: data entry between systems, document processing, routing and triage, routine reporting.
- Will this replace our existing tools?
- Usually not. Automation connects the tools you already use so data moves between them without being re-typed. Replacing a system is only considered when it is the thing blocking the workflow.

Five early decisions that are costly to reverse: data model, third-party boundaries, auth and tenancy, observability, and how you deploy and roll back.
